Mr. Yancey, recognized for his groundbreaking contributions to community media and winner of the Western Access Video Excellence Award (WAVE Award), an award that recognizes outstanding video productions and content created through community media centers and public access television channels, particularly in the Western region of the United States.

About the Training Program
Our Professional Video and T.V. Producing Training is designed to prepare youth, young adults, and aspiring creators for careers in traditional and digital media. Participants will engage in hands-on learning, gaining both the technical expertise and creative skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive media industry.
What We Teach
Pre-Production Skills: Learn the fundamentals of project planning, scriptwriting, storyboarding, and production scheduling.
Production Techniques: Master camera operation, lighting setups, sound recording, and green screen technology using state-of-the-art equipment.
Post-Production: Develop proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, adding visual effects, sound design, and color correction to produce polished projects.
Broadcast and Distribution: Understand strategies for showcasing productions on cable TV, streaming platforms, and social media.
What Participants Will Gain Real-World Experience: Students will produce professional-quality projects, including short films, PSAs, interviews, and community-based productions.
Portfolio Development: Each participant will graduate with a portfolio that includes two short-form projects and one long-form capstone project.
Hands-On Mentorship: Learn directly from Mark Yancey and guest industry professionals who bring years of expertise to the training.
This program is ideal for individuals of all ages while we welcome those aged 16–25 who are passionate about storytelling, video production, and creative media. Whether you dream of producing content for television, digital platforms, or independent projects, our program equips you with the skills to succeed.
Upon program completion, graduates will remain on our Mark Yancey Productions Call List for future projects and production opportunities. With continued mentorship and lifetime access to our support services, participants will be well-positioned to launch and sustain careers in the creative industry.
Program Structure
Program Length: 3 or 6 months (12 to 24 weeks)
- Schedule: Participant will train 3 to 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday, with a commitment of 2 to 4 hours per day. (Days and Evening classes available)
Learning Model: The program is designed to service 5 students per session. This small group approach ensures individualized attention, collaboration, and peer-to-peer support. Participants will report directly to Mr. Yancey, Program Director and Lead Instructor, who will oversee all program activities, training modules, and project deliverables.

Program Activities and Services
Phase 1: Introduction to Media Production:
- Basic instruction in camera operation, lighting, sound recording, and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Workshops on storytelling, scriptwriting, and pre-production planning.
Phase 2: Pre-Production:
- Storyboarding, location scouting, and organizing production schedules.
- Hands-on team collaboration to develop project concepts.
Phase 3: Production:
- Active filming sessions, including role rotations: director, producer, cinematographer, editor, and sound technician.
- Production of short-form projects like public service announcements (PSAs), documentaries, and creative videos.
Phase 4: Post-Production:
- Editing footage, sound design, and creating final media content.
- Mentorship on professional presentation of completed projects.
Phase 5: Capstone Project and Showcase:
- Students create a final, long-form project integrating all learned skills.
- A community showcase event will feature participants' completed work, The approved projects will air on local cable station
