• Yancey Outreach International, Inc. proudly hosts a Monthly Food Bag Giveaway every third Saturday of each month, serving low-income individuals and families throughout the Sacramento city area. This outreach initiative is a core part of our mission to meet immediate needs while building long-term support within underserved communities.

• Each month, our team sets up directly within local apartment communities, making access to food both convenient and dignified for residents. We distribute nutritious, thoughtfully prepared food bags, with each bag designed to feed a family of 3 to 4 for approximately 4 to 5 days. Our goal is not only to alleviate food insecurity but also to provide consistent, reliable support families can count on.

• To ensure fair distribution and maximize impact, we provide one food bag per household. Participants are asked to complete a simple registration process, which includes filling out a registration form and presenting a valid California ID. This process helps us better serve the community, track needs, and maintain accountability.

• Registration also opens the door to far more than just food assistance. Once enrolled, individuals and families gain full access—at no cost—to all services offered through:

• These services include supportive resources such as case management, recovery support, life skills development, peer support, and faith-based guidance for those who desire it. Yancey Outreach International, Inc. is committed to meeting people where they are, and one of the most impactful ways we do this is through our Monthly Hot Food Giveaway, held on the first Saturday of every month. This outreach is specifically focused on serving individuals experiencing homelessness throughout the Sacramento area by going directly into homeless encampments and providing warm meals, essential supplies, and compassionate human connection.

Each month, our team sets up on-site within encampments to ensure that those who are often overlooked or unable to access traditional services are not forgotten. We prepare and distribute fresh, hot meals such as chili dogs, spaghetti, and other hearty options—foods that are both filling and comforting. For many, this may be the only hot meal they receive that day, and we are intentional about making it not just nourishing, but meaningful.

In addition to hot meals, every individual served receives a carefully assembled Hygiene Kit, designed to support personal care, dignity, and daily survival needs. Each kit includes:

• 1 pack of Ultra Thick Bathing      Wipes (10-count) 
• 2 pairs of socks 
• 1 hand sanitizer 
• 1 water bottle 
• 1 mini keychain flashlight 
• 1 toothbrush 
• 1 comb 
• 1 toothpaste 
• 1 mini bar of soap 
• 5 bandages (Band-Aids)

These hygiene kits are essential for individuals who often lack access to basic facilities and supplies. By providing these items, we aim to promote health, restore dignity, and help prevent illness and infection.

More than just a distribution, this outreach is about building trust and relationships. Our team takes the time to engage, listen, and offer encouragement to those we serve. Through this consistent presence, we are able to connect individuals to additional support services offered through Yancey Outreach International, Yancey Recovery Services, and Yancey Christian Recovery Services, all at no cost to the participant.

5. Housing Placement:

• Securing Suitable Housing: Matching you with available housing options that fit your needs and assisting with the application process.

6. Financial Support:

• Covering Initial Costs: Assisting with first, last, and security deposits to       reduce the financial burden of moving into new housing.

7. Credit and Financial Counseling:

• Improving Credit: Working on repairing your credit to enhance your       eligibility for housing and financial services.
• Budgeting Assistance: Providing tools and advice to help manage your       finances effectively.

8. Homeownership Pathways:

• First-Time Buyer Programs: Guiding you through the process of purchasing your first home, including educational workshops and financial planning.
